The Club Selection Standard

A Soccer Parent Standard family chooses clubs with discipline.

They do not chase every badge. They do not panic after one benching. They do not follow other families blindly. They do not buy social media. They do not assume the biggest club is best. They do not assume the smaller club is inferior. They do not wait until tryouts to start thinking.

They evaluate.

They ask:

Is the training strong? Is the coach effective?

Is the player’s role clear?

Is the competition appropriate?

Is the roster size reasonable?

Is the cost visible?

Is communication professional?

Is the culture healthy?

Is the player improving?

Is the environment aligned with the next step?

What are the alternatives?

What is the exit plan?

A club is not a trophy.

It is an environment.

The player has to live inside it.

Choose accordingly.
