Overseas Adult Opportunities
Overseas opportunities need intense due diligence.
An overseas adult opportunity may be:
A legitimate professional contract
A short trial
A training stint
A pay-to-play program
A showcase tour
A placement service
A semi-pro opportunity A lower-division opportunity
A cultural experience
A scam
Parents must inspect the product.
Overseas Questions Ask:
What country?
What league?
What division?
What club?
Is the club registered and active?
Is there a written invitation?
Is there a contract?
Is the player paid?
Is housing provided?
Is medical coverage included?
What visa applies?
Is the player legally allowed to train or play?
Is international clearance required?
Who handles registration?
Is an agent involved?
What are the fees? What happens after the trial?
What is the return plan?
Overseas Red Flags Be cautious when:
The club name is vague
The level is unclear
The program uses logos loosely
The player must pay large placement fees
The visa is not explained
Housing is vague
Medical coverage is vague
The contract is not provided
The agent discourages review
The timeline is rushed
“Scouts will be there” is not documented
Outcomes are anecdotal
The player is told to quit school or college options without evidence
Overseas Rule An overseas opportunity must beat the domestic alternative on evidence.
Not romance.
